Drag Expo Rescheduled to 2021 due to COVID19

November 13, 2020

We strongly encourage you to hold on to your tickets for the rescheduled dates to secure 2020 prices, support our artists and venues.

Hey Racers!

We hope that you’re doing well and keeping safe and healthy while in isolation and while restrictions are easing. Once again, we’d like to thank you all for the patience, support and loyalty that you’ve shown us during this time, we’re still blown away. Your support means the world to us as well as the artists and venues we work with.

We’ve spent the better part of a year, excitedly preparing for our biggest, best and most extravagant event to date. We’re so grateful that you’ve shared our excitement and jumped on board to come and join us in August this year and to have the opportunity to see your favourite drag performers from near and far all in one huge weekend!

The health and safety of everyone is our foremost concern and so in consultation with the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre and current rules and restrictions in place around gathering in large groups and international travel, we have made the decision to reschedule Drag Expo and Dragfest Sydney to 2021.

We’ve confirmed exactly the same International & Local Drag Artistes to attend in 2021 and your existing tickets, including any meet & greet and VIP packages that you’ve purchased are automatically valid for the new dates!

The new dates are:
Thursday August 5th 2021 Dragfest Sydney
Friday August 6th 2021 Drag Expo Opening Gala
Saturday August 7th & Sunday August 8th 2021 Drag Expo

We strongly encourage you to hold on to your tickets for the rescheduled dates to secure 2020 prices, support our artists and venues.

We understand that this will come as a disappointment to some, but we’re committed to doing this right and making the inaugural Drag Expo the biggest and best that it can be! The roster for Dragfest Sydney is one of the most STACKED lineups we’ve presented and we’re very happy to have been able to keep it exactly the same for 2021.

In the event that the rescheduled dates aren’t suitable for you, we’re happy to offer you, our loyal customers, the flexibility to transfer your Dragfest Sydney or Drag Expo tickets to another event that we have on sale. This includes the recently rescheduled Todrick Hall Haus Party Tour, Drag Race UK, Alaska Strikes Back, Trixie & Katya – UNHhhh Live, The Sickening Ball, Jinkx & Ben, Rock M Sakura & Gigi Goode, Jan & Jackie and other tours yet to be announced for 2021.

From everyone at the Drag Expo and In The Dark teams, we’d like to thank you once again for your continued support and we very much look forward to seeing you at the Expo in 2021!
